[cid:image006.jpg@01DABE55.D3E356C0] Good afternoon,
I hope this message reaches you before you have signed off for the summer. We will be hosting the UConn ECE Cardboard Boat Race<https://nam10.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fece.uconn.edu%2Fabout%2Fevents-awards%2Favery-point-cardboard-boat-race%2F&data=05%7C02%7CECE_MATH-L%40LISTSERV.UCONN.EDU%7Cf568669da8ae4a21f4aa08dec7d3f639%7C17f1a87e2a254eaab9df9d439034b080%7C0%7C0%7C639167910357829255%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=nnXslRqwbbH1AoFLxKEDyzHgLS7FgYGUIWbwugXCsAQ%3D&reserved=0> this year on Friday, September 18, 2026 and invite you and your UConn ECE Students to participate! The event will be on the UConn Avery Point Campus from approximately 9:00am-1:30pm.
Here is the 1030Q spreadsheet. So sorry for the delay (I forgot to send it with everything that's been going on- my bad!).
NOTE: THIS SHEET IS DIFFERENT AND NOT FOR USE WITH 1070, 1131, OR 1132!
You should give a cumulative final exam or final paper for your class, and then please enter those scores into the attached spreadsheet. Please enter your grades on Student Admin and email us your completed grade spreadsheet by the end of June!
We are very excited to be hosting the first ever UConn ECE Integration Bee on March 17th! The event will take place on the UConn Storrs Campus from 9:00am-1:00pm. Additional details are provided below.
This is the last call for RSVPs. If you have already submitted an RSVP, please email me to confirm your attendance numbers and student list no later than Monday, March 9th.
Apologies for the delay on details, but we have been finishing up Fall grades, starting Spring classes, and I am running the MATHCOUNTS Competition here at UConn on Saturday- everything feels like a total whirlwind right now!
The Integration Bee is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, March 17th, from 10 AM until 2 PM.
I received another common question that I want to answer for everyone:
Who can participate?
Any ECE Math student, current or former, is eligible to compete and attend. Some of the content will involve integrals with techniques from 1132Q, so students who have only taken 1131Q/Calc AB will be at a disadvantage but are still welcomed and encouraged to try for fun!
One more small change- it looks like we will need to shift the times from 9 AM to 1 PM or so. Lunch will still be provided, just need to try and get started an hour earlier!
We have 3 or 4 confirmed schools already and several others interested and awaiting approval! So exciting, and we hope you can attend!
I am so sorry and thought I sent this the same day I sent out the 1131Q email, but I can't find it in my 'sent' folder. Here is the 1030Q spreadsheet, but in case this happens again in the future, it is usually the same spreadsheet with an updated date in the name and file. Sorry again!
Please disregard this email if you are not currently teaching Math 1131Q for Fall 2025. A separate email will be sent for 1030Q and 1070Q.
Hello,
Attached is the Math 1131Q Fall 2025 Core Portion. The questions comprise 66 points with a time allotment of 75 minutes. If this cannot be accommodated in one period, please let us know and split them up as needed. Your local portion should be 45 minutes.
Thank you everyone for your helpful comments, insight, and discussion yesterday at the workshop! Attached are the slides. Please make sure to review the key policies, especially if you were unable to attend. Let us know if you have any questions!

This event will be hosted virtually via Webex. Workshop participation is required once every other year to maintain certification with UConn Early College Experience. This will be the only Math Workshop offered during the 2025-2026 academic year:
I'm doing my best on approving grades. I was sent a whole ton of them in rapid succession and my computer is having some issues, so I may have to go to campus to work on approving them. Unless there is an emergency or something urgent, please assume I received your grades and am working on approving them as soon as I can. 🙂

The event will be on the UConn Avery Point Campus from approximately 9:00am-1:30pm.
Everything you need to wrap up your courses and compute/enter final grades has been sent to the respective groups now (1132Q yesterday, 1070Q this morning, and 1030Q a few minutes ago). If you did not receive that email and are currently teaching one of those courses and should have, please respond and let me know ASAP!
Please accept this email as notification that the UConn ECE Integration Bee has been canceled for this Spring. We look forward to offering this event next year and will be in touch in advance to collaborate and plan an exciting event for you and your students!
Sincerely,
Jessica Dunn

We still only have one confirmed instructor/team for the Integration Bee, which is currently scheduled for May 3rd. If we don't receive more responses or registrations, then we will likely be unable to run the event.
So, please reply to me with the following information as it applies:
1. Are you interested in having a team compete on May 3rd ? Even if you don't know for sure yet or are waiting on other factors, PLEASE let me know. 2. Is the date an issue? If we switch it to April 26th, would you be able to attend?

If you were able to attend the December workshop, then you already know about this idea in the works! But if this is news to you, we are hoping to host a Spring Integration Bee at UConn where a team of students from all our partner schools will be invited to come compete, have fun doing math, and win prizes! We are working on the details and will put something more formal together in the coming month, but for now let's plan (tentatively) to have a team of 5 participants from each instructor teaching the Math 1131Q/1132Q Calculus
Drew and I have been contacted by several people about students out with illnesses and injuries who are making up exams and such, but there are still several instructors for 1030 and 1131 who we have not heard from.
PLEASE SEND US YOUR GRADES AND GET THEM ENTERED INTO STUDENT ADMIN BY THE END OF THE WEEKEND! Grades are due for the entire University for all fall classes on the 15th, and we need to have them to us to review and approve long before then. In the future, please do your absolute best to have any Fall grades to

Thank you to everyone for joining this morning for our workshop session and for the engaging conversation! We sincerely hope that the time spent was useful and that is was helpful to discuss topics with not only me and Drew but with other instructors as well!
Attached are the slides from the workshop today. If you were unable to attend today, the primary important highlights to look over are checking the accuracy of your course rosters and making sure your course syllabus has the necessary components.
